Houston’s mayor has raised concern about an Instagram post in which he referred to Good Friday as a Spring Holiday.
The holiday is of course related to Easter Sunday, and that’s a “time when Christians across the nation reflect on the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The City of Houston should be ashamed,” Richmond-area US Representative Troy Nels told the Houston Chronicle.
Mayor John Whitmire’s identical post on X has been deleted after concerns raised by Rep. Nels, NewsMax host Todd Starnes and others
The mayor’s office also provided greetings for celebration of Passover, which began Wednesday night.
