A teen boy was hospitalized after being shot near Laveen, the Phoenix Police Department reports. The investigation into the Saturday night incident continues.
PHOENIX — A teen boy was hospitalized after a shooting near Laveen, the Phoenix Police Department said.
Around 10 p.m. on Saturday, officers were sent to a scene near 72nd Lane and Pollack Street for reports of a shooting. As police arrived, officers found a teenage boy with a gunshot wound.
Emergency crews responded and took the boy to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The boy’s identity was not immediately released.
The investigation into what caused the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the police or SILENT WITNESS at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO).
