Business graduate student Goutham Ravichandran, left, and Karunya Kanagavel, structural engineering graduate student, have a water gun fight during EXCEL Campus Activities’ Water Paint Fest on April 8, 2025, on the Maverick Activities Center west lawn.
Student Activities will host its annual SpringFest, an event that serves as an additional form of homecoming for the spring semester.
SpringFest will take place from Saturday to April 18 and will feature multiple events for students to enjoy.
Student Activities coordinator Anthony Hawkins said the events are aimed at taking students’ minds off studying, allowing them to have a little fun before finals.
“There’s enough stuff for each individual who may not think they have the opportunity to have some fun,” Hawkins said.
The SpringFest concert will take place at 8 p.m. April 17 at Texas Hall and will feature performances by Coco Jones, Lyn Lapid and Jack Freeman. Student tickets are $6, and faculty and staff tickets are $16. Doors open at 7 p.m.
“It’s a good collaboration, which will allow you to have a little bit of fun, stay out, enjoy some good music, see some friends and just have a good time,” Hawkins said.
