Zepp Health is rolling out software version 3.9.4.4 for the T-Rex 3 smartwatch. This update brings a new HYROX Training workout, alongside a couple of zoom functions. Plus, the release brings a range of optimizations relating to maps, navigation and the Zepp Coach page.

The Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch is currently receiving software version 3.9.4.4. It arrives around a month after the last update, version 3.8.5.1, which added map-related tools and heart rate optimizations for swimming.

The release notes for version 3.9.4.4 state that it brings a new HYROX Training workout to the T-Rex 3. For the HYROX activity, as well as the existing Cross Training and HIIT workouts, there are three modes: AMRAP, TABATA and EMOM. The wearable gains a zoom function with this update, allowing you to enlarge an area of the display. Plus, the watch now supports automatic heading tracking when users zoom on the map.

There are said to be optimizations for the Map interface, beep and vibration alerts when navigating and the Zepp Coach page. On top of this, the Weather can now show a nighttime status. The full release notes can be found in the screenshot below. It is worth noting that the T-Rex 3 smartwatch remains on Zepp OS 4.5 for the time being. The latest operating system, Zepp OS 5.0, arrived on the Balance 2 smartwatch and was recently pushed to the Bip 6. Whether or when the T-Rex 3 could receive Zepp OS 5.0 remains unclear.

Software version 3.9.4.4 is likely being released in phases to users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch (curr. $189.99 at Amazon). When it is available in your region, you will be able to trigger the installation process from the Zepp app.
