Is Senate Bill 1543, which gives taser maker company Axon the ability to build a new world headquarters — replete with 1,200 multi-family residential units — in North Scottsdale constitutional?
That was the question argued in Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Michael Herrod’s courtroom on the morning of April 10.
Noting the passion on both sides of the case, Judge Herrod only half-jokingly predicted an appeal might be in the cards, saying, “Something tells me whatever I decide, it won’t be the last word.”
