PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A hiker and a bicyclist were rescued from South Mountain after being injured in separate incidents Sunday morning.
Around 8:30 a.m., firefighters responded to the Pima Canyon trailhead after reports of a woman who had injured her leg, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Crews hiked to the woman and used a brush truck, a vehicle designed for off-road terrain, to bring her safely back to the trailhead. She declined to go to the hospital and was released.
About an hour later, firefighters responded to the Corona de Loma trailhead after reports of a man who had hurt his leg while biking.
Crews hiked to the man and used the Phoenix Firebird helicopter to hoist him to safety. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
These rescues follow a busy Saturday for firefighters across the Valley.
Crews rescued three people from Phoenix mountains on Saturday, including South Mountain, Piestewa Peak and Camelback Mountain. A fourth person was rescued from Pinnacle Peak in Scottsdale.
