MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — One person is hurt after an alleged road rage incident shut down a busy freeway off-ramp in Mesa.
Just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers responded to reports of a stabbing that happened on the Guadalupe off-ramp on State Route 202.
Preliminary information is limited, but troopers say the situation stemmed from a road rage incident. The people involved got into a physical fight on the off-ramp, which is when DPS says the stabbing happened.
It is unclear the severity of the injuries, but the person who was stabbed took themselves to urgent care. DPS did not say if a suspect was in custody.
Troopers are investigating, and the off-ramp is blocked. There is no estimated time it may reopen.
