A man in a wheelchair died after he was hit by a car near 24th Street and Roosevelt Street, according to police.

Authorities said the crash happened on April 9 around 7:30 p.m.
When police got to the scene, they found the man with serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital and died on April 11.
Police said the man was in the roadway and may have been impaired when he was hit. The driver of the car tried to avoid the man but could not.
The driver stayed on scene and showed no signs of impairment, authorities said.
Police have not released the identity of the man.
