A severe storm system brought strong winds and lashing rains to Houston, Texas, on Sunday, April 12, flooding roads and creating hazardous driving conditions.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flood watch, citing possibilities for flash flooding and isolated accumulations of over six inches.
“Rainfall rates of two to four inches per hour and raining storms may lead to street flooding and isolated instances of flash flooding within the watch area,” the NWS said.
