The last of four detainees who escaped from an immigration detention center in New Jersey last month has been arrested in California after weeks on the lam, authorities say.

Andres Felipe Pineda Mogollon was captured Thursday in Los Angeles. The local FBI and Homeland Security Task Force assisted. Authorities had been looking for Mogollon since his June 12 bust from Delaney Hall.

A total of four initially escaped the Newark facility, where ICE has been holding individuals facing possible deportation. The first two were captured within days.

Authorities had said Mogollon, of Colombia, overstayed a tourist visa and entered the U.S. in 2023. He was arrested previously on local petty larceny and residential burglary charges. His last known address was in Newark, New Jersey, and he is known to have ties to Queens, New York.

The escape came as President Donald Trump directed federal agencies to step up immigration enforcement across the country.
