PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Crews are working to rescue a man who reportedly had a medical emergency on a popular Phoenix trail Tuesday morning.
Phoenix Fire, along with crews from Tempe and Scottsdale, were called out to a rescue on Echo Canyon Trail at Camelback Mountain. A Phoenix Fire spokesperson told Arizona’s Family that the man was near the top of the mountain when he had a medical emergency.
Crews are working to hoist the man off the mountain. His condition is unclear at this time.

Firefighters from across the Valley have responded to numerous mountain rescues, with Tuesday’s marking the seventh rescue in four days. On Saturday, four rescues were reported in Phoenix and Scottsdale on Camelback Mountain, South Mountain, Piestewa Peak and Pinnacle Peak. Then on Sunday, crews had to help two people off of South Mountain. In a majority of the rescues, hikers reported having medical emergencies or injuries.
