When Raegan Revord found out she was going on a Dodo Dream Date, she decided she wanted to do something a little different — so Raegan decided to start a book club with her date, Kringle.

Kringle was surrendered by his family at 7 years old and is now looking for a new beginning. He and Raegan snuggled up and got to know each other for a bit before diving into their new book club.

“Do you want to have a really cozy book afternoon?” Raegan asked Kringle in a video for The Dodo.

Raegan double-checked if Kringle was on the same page by presenting him with a book and a TV remote, and he quickly chose the book.

“This is my soulmate,” Raegan said.

Raegan asked Kringle a few more questions, adding to his collection of toys, and the pair learned they are very aligned when it comes to their reading habits. Once they ran out of questions, Raegan let Kringle in on a little secret: she actually has a book coming out in September.

“It’s called, ‘Rules for Fake Girlfriends,’ and it has fake dating and a scavenger hunt,” Raegan said.

Raegan chatted a little bit about the book and where the inspiration for it came from. Then she was asked which literary character Kringle is most like, and her answer was surprisingly fitting.

“I feel like he’s giving Ron Weasely,” Raegan said. “Ron’s very, like, endearing and loud and fun, but then also can be really sweet.”

To finish off the date, Raegan decided to read out loud from her new book so that Kringle could give his approval. He definitely seemed to enjoy it, and Raegan gave him lots of scratches and pets as a thank you for listening.

Kringle is still single and is hoping to find his forever home very, very soon.
