Apple is finally getting ready to release its first foldable iPhone. As per reports, the launch may happen in the second half of 2026. This new phone is expected to come with Apple’s powerful A20 Pro chip and a slim design. Though Apple has not officially confirmed anything, tech experts believe the company has been working on it quietly for years.

The foldable iPhone is likely to open like a book and may have a 7.8-inch OLED screen inside. When folded, it could have a smaller 5.5-inch display on the outside. The phone may offer storage options of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. For photography, the device could include two 48MP cameras, one wide-angle and one ultra-wide.

Apple is also said to be focusing on making the phone slim and easy to carry. The design might look similar to the iPad Mini when unfolded.

Apple filed its first patent for a foldable display back in 2014. Now, it looks like the company is finally ready to bring it to life. If the launch happens as expected, 2026 could be the year Apple joins the foldable phone market.
