SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A person is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle overnight in Scottsdale near Phoenix’s Camelback East area.
Details about the crash are still limited. Officers were called to the reported crash around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday near 56th Street and Thomas Road.
When police arrived, they found the pedestrian who had been hit by a car, and the person was hospitalized with serious injuries, Scottsdale Police said.
The driver responsible for the crash left the area before officers arrived, according to police.
Detectives have responded to investigate what led to this crash. The area is now fully reopened.
