Chris Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, failed presidential candidate, and current man about various political talk shows, appears to have bought an apartment on Irving Place. According to city records filed last week, Christie and his wife, Mary Pat, paid $1,500,000 for the two-bedroom co-op at 61 Irving Place. Christie, who was recently seen complaining about the current mayor and his snow-removal efforts, seems to be undeterred by the city all the same.

The apartment is nicely located but a bit frozen in time with current listing photos showing wall-to-wall brown carpeting, white-marbled bathrooms, and a painting of beach palm trees hanging in the living room. The apartment overlooks East 18th Street, and the listing claims the space is “an exceptional setting for elegant entertaining or quiet enjoyment.” The apartment is just a block from Caffè Panna, so look out, influencers.
