Royse Contemporary celebrates its eighth anniversary with “People, Places & Things”, a dynamic group exhibition examining the complexities of our everyday life and what we encounter.

“People, Places & Things” will open to the public Thursday, July 31, and continue through Sunday, Sept. 7.

Royse Contemporary will host a special celebration July 31, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., coinciding with the weekly Scottsdale ArtWalk. The evening will feature an opportunity to meet some of the artists and the curator, along with light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

Royse has selected artists whose work highlights these engaging subjects while pushing their mediums to produce stunning and thought-provoking work, blending observation and imagination.

According to a press release, these artists were selected based on their distinctive voice, ingenuity and accomplished work. This exhibition showcases the work of ten noteworthy artists, including James Angel, Cam DeCaussin, Cherie Buck-Hutchison, Gennaro Garcia, Joe Ray, Daniel Shepherd, Fred Tieken and Casey Wakefield. Royse also welcomes special guest artists Frank Gonzales and Monica Aissa Martinez.

This exhibition offers an eclectic selection of work with artists working in an array of mediums, including paint, collage, photography and mixed media.

“These artists’ work highlights these subjects in a truly alluring way, presenting work that is visually captivating and commanding and I am thrilled to bring this exhibition to Royse Contemporary,” states gallery Owner/Curator Nicole Royse.
