Yet another “Chicago Fire” star is leaving the cast ahead of season 14.
Michael Bradway will not return as Lieutenant Kelly Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) half-brother Jack Damon. He played the role during seasons 12 and 13.
Shortly after the news broke, Bradway took to Instagram to announce his next project, Prime Video’s television adaptation of the Carley Fortune novel “Every Summer After.” He’ll star in the series alongside Sadie Soverall (Percy), Matt Cornett (Sam), Aurora Perrineau (Chantal), Abigail Cowen (Delilah), and Joseph Chiu (Jordie).
“Couldn’t be more excited to be your Charlie,” Bradway captioned an Instagram photo of the Deadline casting announcement.
Bradway’s departure from “Chicago Fire” comes after Jake Lockett (Sam Carver) and Daniel Kyri’s (Darren Ritter) exits were announced in April. Lockett joined the cast during season 11, while Kyri had played Ritter since season 7.
“I’ll miss this character, and it’s time to move on,” Kyri wrote via his Instagram Story after the news was announced, per People. “Thank you to the cast, crew & the awesome fans.”
While several “Chicago Fire” stars will be missing from season 14, there will also be a fresh face on the cast. Brandon Larracuente is set to join as a series regular, although no details about his character have been revealed.
Larracuente will join returning stars Kinney, Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd), and Dermot Mulroney (Dom Pascal). NBC has not yet announced an official premiere date for season 14 of “Chicago Fire.” However, it will air on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, between “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.”
