Chicago claimed the number 4 spot on Food & Wine’s roundup of Top 10 US Cities for Coffee.

The publication notes the Windy City’s rich coffeehouse history, dating back to 1918 with the historic Knickerbocker Coffee Shop serving as a community touchstone.

Other time-honored local spots according to F&W include Intelligentsia and Metric Coffee, which have been serving Chicagans since the 90s and early 2010s respectively.
