SHELBY, Wis. (WEAU) – The La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing person who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
According to their press release, 45-year-old Stanley Howe’s vehicle was located at the Paul E. Stry Nature Preserve on April 19, 2026. Howe’s phone was left inside.
Howe is 6 feet tall and weighs 240 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Howe was last seen wearing a long sleeve royal blue t-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office at (608) 782-7575. If you see him, do not approach. Instead, call 911 immediately for crisis personnel to respond.
