SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – South Dakota native Nate Tibbetts and South Dakota State graduate Megan Vogel returned to Sioux Falls for the first WNBA game played in the state.
This was the Phoenix Mercury and Chicago Sky’s first preseason game of the year.
For the Mercury it was Kahleah Copper scoring 19 points in 13 minutes played, stealing the show going 4-6 from range.
For the Chicago Sky it was Hailey Van Lith going 8-8 from the field to end the game with 20 points.
As well as Van Lith played the Mercury were able to close out the Sky late to win 108-104.
