PHOENIX — A 43-year-old driver was shot and killed early Saturday morning after he allegedly hit multiple parked cars in north Phoenix, authorities said.
The Phoenix Police Department identified the deceased man as Bruce Roanhorse.
Officers were called to the area of Seventh Street and Dunlap Avenue for reports of a crash just before 4 a.m., police said.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Roanhorse suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The Phoenix Fire Department responded and pronounced Roanhorse dead.

Preliminary information suggested that Roanhorse had struck multiple parked cars, as well as other property, when a homeowner and his son exited their house to see what was happening. Roanhorse proceeded to reverse his truck into another parked truck occupied by the son, who proceeded to shoot him, police said.
The son was detained for questioning then arrested and booked into jail on an outstanding felony warrant.
Any potential charges in connection with the north Phoenix shooting are pending the investigation’s completion.
