At least one person was killed in a crash in the unincorporated community of Ramona in San Diego County, authorities said Saturday.

The first report to the California Highway Patrol was made at 11:58 p.m. on Friday, regarding a small SUV fully engulfed in flames at the intersection of State Route 67 and Quail Rock Road.

At 12:21 a.m. Saturday, it was revealed the body of a pedestrian was found two miles away from the burning SUV and a drone search was requested to find out if another pedestrian was struck in the area of the burned SUV. There was no word on whether a second pedestrian was found.

State Route 67 was ordered shut down between Archie Moore and Highland Valley roads while the investigation continues.
