ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – A Bronx man has been charged after allegedly transporting drugs from New York City to the Capital Region.

According to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office, Ramon Riveras, 35, was indicted for multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The DA’s Office says on March 1, Riveras was found to be in possession of 16,500 envelopes of fentanyl and heroin during a traffic stop on Washington Avenue Extension.

Riveras pleaded not guilty to the charges and was sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility.
