Man fatally struck by vehicle while walking along IH-35

SAN ANTONIO — A man was struck and killed Friday evening while walking along the main lanes of IH-35 South.

Police say around 9:23 p.m. a man was reported walking north in the far-right main lanes of the 7000 block of IH-35 South. He was struck by a 2020 Ford EcoSport that was traveling north on the highway. The driver stopped to render aid and cooperated with investigators.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene after succumbing to his injuries. The victim has not been identified as of yet and police say no criminal charges are pending in this case.
