A Greeneville woman is amongst the winners of the 2025-2026 Tennessee Wildlife magazine photo contest that is hosted annually by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s .

Peggy GeFellers of Greeneville was one of 14 photographers selected from a record number of submissions. Her winning image will be featured in TWRA’s annual calendar, beginning with the August issue. The contest highlights Tennessee’s native wildlife, fishing and hunting scenes, and scenic outdoor moments from across the state.

The other selected photographers include Lisa Byrd (Rutherford County), Donna Bourdon (Decatur), Bill Gelsleichter (Crossville), Phillip Grubb (Mascot), Mark Harriman (Germantown), Timothy Loyd (Sumner County), John Mack (Ithaca, N.Y.), Rick McCulley (Rockwood), Becky Ross McRae (Bartlett), Sue Mitchell (Lenoir City), Michael Pachis (Memphis), Houston Reasonover (Lebanon), and Frank Snyder (Athens).

While only 14 photos were chosen for the calendar, other entries may be featured in future TWRA publications or on its website.

The agency congratulates the winners and encourages photographers to enter again next year. Submission details and contest guidelines will be announced in upcoming issues of Tennessee Wildlife and on TWRA’s website.
