A campaign finance report complaint filed against the Alliance for Scottsdale’s Future will be handled by Gilbert City Clerk Chaveli Herrera’s office.
Scottsdale City Clerk Ben Lane has referred the complaint to Herrera’s office because of an apparent conflict of interest.
Lane did not say why he transferred it out of his office, and a public records request was not immediately filled.
