Economic development agreements are proposed for two international companies — one focused on aerospace and defense, the other electronics — considering expansions in Fort Worth.
The companies are Canada-based electronics manufacturer Celestica and Australian defense contractor Marand. No details other than the names of the two companies were released by the city.
Cherie Gordon, economic development coordinator for the city of Fort Worth, will present the proposed agreements during city council’s work session at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
Marand is a major supplier for Lockheed F-35 fighter jets, which are assembled in Fort Worth. The company already has an engineering and manufacturing location in southeast Fort Worth. Marand is owned by private investment firm CPE Capital.
Toronto-based Celestica posted revenues of $12.4 billion in 2025 with much of the company’s growth coming from products designed for data centers.
The company’s fourth-quarter earnings report shows Celestica plans to make investments at multiple sites in Texas, adding as much as 700,000 square feet in the company’s campus in Richardson and a new site in Fort Worth focused on research and development, manufacturing and advanced assembly. It also is planning a new research and development and design center in Austin.
