PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A north Phoenix freeway is back open after a car fire caused a heavy traffic backup in the midst of rush-hour traffic Tuesday evening.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says the westbound lanes of the Loop 101 Pima have reopened at Interstate 17, known as the “North Stack.” ADOT says the closure was due to a vehicle fire near 19th Avenue.
It is unclear whether any injuries have been reported.
