GWINN, Mich. (WLUC) – Marquette Sawyer Airport announced a new change to its flight schedule.
Due to a new FAA ruling, United Airlines has pushed back its new route from Chicago into Marquette until Oct. 25. The route would have added three new arrivals from Chicago O’Hare.
Sawyer Regional Airport Manager David Erhart says they are looking forward to having the expanded connection, but many customers will be affected by the change.
“Ticket sales have been going on all this time, so for the customers that are affected that means rebooking through other means,” Erhart said. “United will work with them to re book through other airports, or to even refund the ticket entirely.”
Erhart says the new route will lead to additional staffing at Sawyer Regional.
