A man is in critical condition after a shooting in Granada Hills on Friday evening, police said.

The shooting was reported in the 16700 block of Chatsworth Street just before 6 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police say a group of 5-10 people went up to a parked car and four shots were fired, striking the 20-year-old man, who was sitting inside the vehicle with two of his adult siblings. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The victims told police that the shooter asked them where they were from prior to the shooting. Other details about what led up to the shooting were not immediately clear.

Investigators did not provide a description of the suspects.

The investigation is ongoing.
