Gas prices are up again across the region as oil prices jumped again this week.

Prices in the Valley rose 4 cents this week to $4.82 a gallon, while the state average rose 4 cents to 4.71 a gallon and the national average rose a whopping 34 cents a gallon to reach $4.39 a gallon according to AAA Arizona on Friday.

“Oil prices have surged above $100 a barrel with no indication of when the Strait of Hormuz will reopen,” said AAA Mountain West Group spokesperson Doug Johnson in a release. “Gas prices are the highest they’ve been in four years.”
