Julia Barboza, 85, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Funeral services: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Mount Olivet Chapel. Julia was born on March 4, 1940, in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico, to Raymundo and Felicitas Rodriguez. She lived in Mexico most of her life until moving to Fort Worth, Texas, on September 20, 1974. She was a devoted Catholic. Julia was a homemaker who lovingly cared for her family. She loved planting flowers and plants and enjoyed painting pots and figurines for the yard. She always made sure to feed anyone who showed up-hungry or not, you were going to eat. She was preceded in death by her brothers Armando, Jose Cruz, and Raymundo Jr., all Rodriguez; her sister Yolanda Gallegos; and two great-grandchildren. Survivors: Sons Daniel J. Barboza, and wife, Guillermina, Juan F. Barboza, Raymundo Barboza, and wife, Ana; daughters, Eva Flores, and husband, Luis, Maria F. Bernard, and husband, Jason, Anna L. Leanos, and husband, Armando, Sindi Barboza; sisters, Angelita Hernandez, Josefina Zazueta, Elva Gonzalez; brother, Jesus Rodriguez; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
