Upper Darby police are investigating a serious stabbing in the 4600 block of State Road about 4:30 Monday afternoon.
Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said the incident appeared to be a domestic between mother and son.
EMS was dispatched, however units quickly went available.

The son was in custody Bernhardt said. Radio traffic indicated he was stopped by police in Springfield.
Traffic on State Road was stopped as police investigated the incident.
Officers were sent to the house after someone was spotted on the floor inside.
