Eva Longoria appears to be giving life in LA another shot.
After years spent splitting her time between Mexico and Spain — saying in 2024 that she was “privileged” to be escaping the “dystopian” United States — the Desperate Housewives alum returned to the City of Angels last fall to begin production on The Fifth Wheel, enrolling son Santiago in school there.

The 7-year-old, whom she shares with husband José Bastón, has enjoyed the last seven-plus months so much that his famous mom, 51, now isn’t as sure about moving back abroad. “We take it day by day,” she said, via People magazine. There are perks to staying in America for Eva, too. The director admitted she misses her Texas-based family — as well as “good Mexican food” — whenever she’s residing in Europe. Added Eva, “We like to be surrounded by family.”
