The 2026 Met Gala featured multiple Los Angeles athletes this year. From Olympians like figure skater Alysa Liu to tennis stars like Serena and Venus Williams, Los Angeles was well represented at one of the biggest nights in fashion.

This year’s theme was “Costume Art” and encouraged attendees to view their outfits as more than just clothing and instead view them as art installations. The annual, invitation-only fundraising event took place on Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
