Tempe Municipal Judge Kevin Kane has retired after 10 years of service to the city and passed his position to James J. Sampanes, a longtime Tempe resident and former Phoenix city prosecutor.
Kane said goodbye during an April 30 city council meeting and said the city was “in good hands.”
“Judge Sampanes is an amazing presiding judge and you’ll be happy with him leading the court,” he said.
