Dallas police are reportedly looking for the person who shot a man on Monday morning in Deep Ellum.

This occurred on the west side of the entertainment district in a parking lot near the 2700 block of Elm Street, according to Fox 4. Police responded around 2:15 a.m. May 4 and transported the victim, who was shot in the back, to a hospital. The man was expected to survive the shooting.

The violence is said to have originated with a confrontation between two groups of people whose relationship to each other remains unknown at this time, Fox 4 reports. The gunfire also damaged two vehicles in the lot.

Police have not yet identified the person accused of the shooting.
