Thief caught on camera stealing $1,500 in audio equipment from Christian Revival Church

Who would steal from a church? That is what SAPD is working to find out. Last Tuesday a man was caught on camera breaking into Christian Revival Church. The thief stole $1,500 worth of audio equipment from the church.

Roxanne Martinez, the pastor’s wife, says the equipment was not paid off so they are $2,500 in the hole. The pastor didn’t notice the equipment was gone until last Thursday when another pastor at Harlandale United Methodist Church noticed the equipment was missing and thought they borrowed it.

“We were like we didn’t borrow anything,” Martinez said.

They checked the cameras and that’s when they saw the man breaking into the sanctuary.

“It did hurt us, but we prayed” Martinez said. “My husband and the congregations said we just want to forgive him.”

Christian Revival Church has set up a GoFundMe to raise money to replace the equipment.
