Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers is everywhere these days. With her soaring popularity, it is not surprising that she keeps getting invited to big-time events.

On Monday, Bueckers attended the Met Gala in New York for the first time. She was among the handful of star athletes in the annual spectacle, which also had Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson, Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese, tennis legend Serena Williams, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, and F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, just to name a few.

Bueckers sported a patterned suit, featuring multi-colored paint splatters. Considering the other outfits, Buckers’ was quite straightforward.

Still, Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale liked her teammate’s drip.

“She looked tough. I honestly almost didn’t even recognize her. Her little smize was cute. She kept it real classy. Her outfit was good. She did her thing,” said Ogunbowale in the video posted by DCTF’s Melissa Treibwasser.

The 24-year-old Bueckers has not been shy in expressing herself through her fashion style. She was hailed for her outfit in last year’s WNBA Draft, when she was selected by the Wings as the top overall pick.

But soon, she will have to strut her stuff on the court, as the new season tips off on Saturday. The Wings will open their campaign against the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Bueckers, Ogunbowale, and Azzi Fudd, who took a subtle jab at the referees in the preseason, are expected to carry the squad.

Bueckers was named Rookie of the Year last season after averaging 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.6 steals. Dallas, however, only won 10 games and missed the playoffs for the second straight time.
