Woman stabbed from behind while walking on West Side, police say

ELMENDORF, Texas – A woman is in serious condition at the hospital after police say she was stabbed in the back.

The attack happened around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday on North Elmendorf Street near West Poplar Street on the West Side.

Police say the woman was walking on the sidewalk when a man came up behind her and stabbed her.
