Conor McGregor couldn’t resist taking one final dig at his old rival Dustin Poirier.

‘Notorious’ watched from home as his three-time foe retired from MMA on Saturday night.

BMF titleholder Max Holloway outpointed him over five rounds in a highly entertaining UFC 318 main event, before stepping aside to let ‘The Diamond’ lay down his gloves in front of a hometown crowd.

Soon after, Conor McGregor took to social media with his thoughts on Dustin Poirier‘s final fight.

You might’ve missed McGregor’s UFC 318 reaction, as it was quickly deleted from his X account.

The Irishman was surprisingly nice about Poirier, despite sharing a bitter rivalry with him over the years.

However, McGregor signed off by using the ‘pea head’ insult first uttered before he knocked out Poirier in 2014.

The former dual-weight UFC champion tweeted: “We love a good scrapper in the company and them two boys are just that! Scrappers!

“Awesome stuff! Great fight lads, bravo!

“R.I.Pea head!”

Jon Jones and Islam Makhachev react to UFC 318

Jon Jones immediately sent a retirement message to Poirier when UFC 318 concluded.

“Congratulations on an amazing career Dustin,” he tweeted.

“Thank you for the years of entertainment. Now go enjoy your retirement.”

Former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev also reached out to the man he submitted at UFC 302 in June 2024.

“Congratulations, Dustin,” Makhachev wrote.

“You’re truly one of the greatest to ever step into the cage.

“It was an honor and a privilege to share it with you.”
