Happy Thursday,

Many world-renowned art galleries and museums exist in central pockets of Fort Worth. But where do small and nontraditional art spaces live?

This Saturday, you’ll have the opportunity to explore 11 unique galleries created inside people’s apartments, garages and even food pantries at the inaugural SpeedBump Fort Worth art walk.

SpeedBump originated in Dallas’ Oak Cliff neighborhood nearly 30 years ago, but is being brought west by local artists Claire Kennedy and Max Marshall. The goal of the event is to highlight creative spaces, art exhibitions and funky collections, according to the Fort Worth founders. Find the complete list of art spaces below.

What do you think about artists creating their own spaces to spotlight their works? Let me know by contacting me at david.moreno@fortworthreport.org.
