A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in east Fort Worth last Sunday morning, police said.

The man, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 35-year-old Jyce Dean Osby, was struck by a white vehicle while attempting to cross East Loop 820 at Brentwood Stair Road, police said.

Osby was attempting to cross from the southbound to the northbound side of the highway by jumping over a retaining wall, according to a statement. The driver of the white vehicle did not stop after hitting Osby, who died at the scene.
