Man shot in chest on Kings Road after dispute: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man who was injured Friday afternoon was in stable condition after a dispute led to gunfire on Kings Road, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4:30 p.m., the man, believed to be in his 20s, got into a dispute with an unknown man, who pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest, JSO said. It’s unclear what led to the dispute.

JSO said both men ran off after the shooting, but the injured man collapsed on a nearby street.

He was taken to the hospital and was in stable condition.

The man was not cooperating with detectives, according to JSO.

No arrests have been made, but JSO said there was no threat to the community.
