PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is facing a murder charge after police say he killed another man inside a Phoenix home and left the scene.
Just after 9 p.m. Thursday, officers responded near 24th Street and Oak Street after a caller reported a man had been killed inside a nearby home and that the body was still there.
Officers entered the home and found the body of an adult man.
Police have not released the man’s identity, and it was not immediately clear how he died.
The Phoenix Police Department’s Homicide Unit took over the investigation. Detectives said they learned the victim was killed earlier in the evening during an altercation inside the home.
Investigators identified the suspect as 32-year-old Christopher Ebanks, who was located and taken into custody Friday.

Ebanks was booked into jail on charges related to the case, including murder. Police said no additional suspects are being sought.
