A person was killed when a speeding car collided with a building and three people standing near a bus stop in Fort Worth Saturday afternoon, police said.

Officers found one person dead and a vehicle inside a building when they arrived at the 5500 block of E. Lancaster Avenue Saturday, Fort Worth police said in a news release.

After investigating, it was determined the crash happened shortly before 3:07 p.m. as two vehicles traveled Westbound on East Lancaster at a high rate of speed, police said.

One of the drivers lost control of their vehicle, which police said then hit a bus stop and collided with a nearby building.

Three people were hit near the bus stop. Two people had minor injuries, while one died at the scene, police said.

The drivers of the vehicles were taken into custody, police said. They have been identified as Deovion Alexander,22, and De’tavius Hayes,24, according to Fort Worth jail records. Both face charges of collision involving death.
