Two Tarrant County food establishments were closed, and rodents and roaches found at others, in the latest round of county health inspections, according to the report.
The report compiled by the Star-Telegram contains data from April 19 through May 2 and 280 inspections.
Tarrant County’s health inspections function on a 100-point scale, where a score of 100 is considered perfect and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor. Tarrant County Public Health inspects all restaurants in the county except those in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills.
Two locations were closed:
Subway 29703, 409 E. Northwest Highway in Grapevine, had a score of 89. The location voluntarily closed due to issues with refrigeration, and reopened after a follow-up inspection.
Pizza Hut 39025, 340 Mercedes St. in Benbrook, had a score of 92. The restaurant voluntarily closed due to a wastewater backup overflowing onto the floor, and reopened after a follow-up inspection.
Two locations were given 48 hours to seek pest control remedies:
Lubys 135, 3312 Southeast Loop 820 in Forest Hill, was unscored. The location was noted to have issues with cockroaches and cockroach droppings.
Hawks Creek Golf Club, 6520 White Settlement Road in Westworth Village, had a score of 66. The location was noted to have issues with rats and rodent droppings.
