What happens when you call 911?

Here’s everything a dispatcher does to get emergency services to your location when you dial 911.

An Amber Alert has been issued by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for Melina Galanis Frattolin, a 9-year-old girl abducted from Lake George, New York, on Saturday, July 19.

Melina was last seen around 9:40 p.m. on I-87 near Exit 22, wearing light-colored shorts, a black and white striped shirt, and white Adidas sneakers.

She is described as 5 feet tall, weighing 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say Melina was taken under circumstances that lead them to believe she is in imminent danger of serious bodily harm or death.

Anyone with information or who may have seen Melina is urged to call the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at (518) 743-2501 or dial 911.
