PHOENIX — A five-day-old newborn was found and taken to a hospital after an Amber Alert was issued Saturday.
The Department of Public Safety canceled an Amber Alert that was issued shortly after 6 p.m. for a five-day-old boy last seen in Phoenix.
The Phoenix Police Department says that around 11:15 a.m., the baby was taken by his parents, Tyler and Asia Olson, from a medical clinic near 30th Street and McDowell Road without medical clearance.
The child was under critical care at the time the couple left the facility, according to police.
According to officials, shortly after the Amber Alert was issued, the baby and his parents were located in Mohave County.
The baby was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and his parents have since been detained.
The investigation remains ongoing.
