21-year-old motorcyclist critically hurt after hitting guardrail on US 281

SAN ANTONIO — A 21-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured after police say they lost control and struck a guardrail on U.S. Highway 281 North.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. Saturday in the 6800 Block of U.S. Highway 281 North.

Police say the motorcyclist was traveling northbound and was attempting to exit at West Basse Road when they lost control and struck the guardrail.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.
